Introducing: Google Single Sign On (SSO) for Hull
19th Oct 2020At Hull, we're taking steps to ensure our platform is more reliable, more streamlined, and more secure each day. Our latest feature release is certainly a step in that direction.
Introducing: Google Single Sign On
We're giving our customers the ability to provision Google Single Sign On (SSO) for their organizations as the primary login method to their Hull Dashboard.
Traditionally, Hull customers are prompted to log in to their Dashboard with a username and password. Should you wish to switch your Hull organization to Google SSO, your users would then be prompted to log in with their Google account name and password.
Why SSO?
Single sign on has been touted by IT professionals as a better way to manage the access of vital applications and information within the workplace. With SSO, businesses can achieve:
- Enhanced security and compliance
- Ease of use and employee satisfaction
- Lower costs
- Time savings
Should I enable Google SSO for my organization?
If your organization hosts a good amount of your authentication infrastructure with Google, you may want to consider enabling the new Google SSO feature with Hull. With this feature enabled, you can easily control access to your Hull users in one place. You can even enable features like Google's 2-factor authentication, adding an additional layer of security in accessing services like Hull.
Ready to get started?
The feature itself relies primarily on domain identification. If you would like this feature enabled, please contact support@hull.io and supply a list of your domains which you would like to enforce Google authentication on as a means to access Hull.
