Accounts

Accounts represent individual companies in Hull. Accounts have:

  • Account Traits
  • Users (who represent employees of the Account company)

Account Limits

There is no limit to the number of Accounts or volume of data per account in your Hull Organization.

Account Events are not supported today.

Account Identity

Accounts have identifiers to recognise unique companies. Hull supports two types of identifiers. These are used to automatically merge data about the same company from separate sources into one Account object.

Account Profiles

Account data is shown in Account Profiles. These are visible through the Accounts tab in the dashboard.

Account data includes:

  • Data captured from external tools, databases, and imported files
  • Derived data (e.g. created_at, domain name)
  • Computed data from Processor code

Data is stored as Account Traits (Attributes, Properties) and Users. Account Traits are displayed on the left hand column, and a list of associated Users are displayed on the right-hand column.

Syncing Account Profiles

An an Account is updated, the change on the Account and all associated Users will be propagated to all listening Connectors. You can configure this in your Connector Settings.

Account Traits can also be exported via the Export API and synced in batches to connectors.

Account Segments

Accounts Segments represent groups of Accounts in Hull. They are visible under the Accounts tab in the dashboard. They can be used to:

  • Whitelist Accounts to sync to specific Connectors
  • Use as company segments, views, and lists in 3rd party tools
  • Save common Account queries

Account Segments can be built using Account Traits.

Account Segments are updated whenever any member of the Account Segment is updated. If a Account Segment has a relative time component (e.g. Last seen less than 7 days ago), these are updated every six hours.

Accounts can belong to any number of Accounts Segments. The number of Segments is limited by your billing plan.
