Once you have installed your Google Sheet connector, you need to add the Google Sheet Add-on to start using it. First, go to the overview page of the connector and click the Install & Credentials
button. A modal will pop up with :
Click on the Install Google Sheet Addon
to be redirected to the page on the Chrome webstore where you will be able to install the Hull addon. Finally, click on the Install button and go through the permission modals to finish installing the add-on.
Go to one of your Google Sheets, and go to Hull Sheets Importer add-on.
A sidebar will appear on the right where you can configure the add-on.
Copy the token accessible inside the Install & Credentials
modal in the connector. Paste it in the Hull token placeholder accessible by clicking on the Show token
button of the sidebar.
Once you have done that, you are all set to start ingesting data from your Google Sheets into Hull.
A side bar will open up on the right where you can configure the import:
Then, you need to map the name of the columns in the Google Sheet with the corresponding attributes on the user in Hull.
You can either map it to an existing attribute inside Hull or you can create a custom attribute as shown below:
The users will be updated once you start the import by clicking on the Start Import
button at the bottom.
⚠️ Warning ⚠️:
There needs to be at least one column which is mapped to the email or the external_id. That Hull is capable of looking up the right user and update it.
The Google Sheet Importer is a seamless way of importing data from a Google Sheet into Hull. It also allow you to create custom attributes very quickly by simply adding columns to your Google Sheets.
