Updating Hubspot Users and Accounts with data from HullUpdated 29/11/2019


Provide your salespeople with data from all your stack by updating data on your Users and Accounts in the corresponding Contacts and Companies inside Hubspot. Send Hull segments out to Hubspot marketing to create granular email sequences inside Hubspot Marketing.

How to send Contacts to Hubspot

Selecting Users to send out as Contacts

First, go to the User - Sending to Hubspot section.

Start by defining the segments of users you want to send out from Hull to Hubspot. Inside the User filter dropdown, select those User segments.

If a User does not belong to any of those segments, he will not be synched out to Hubspot.

Mapping attributes from Hull to Hubspot

Then, go to the Outgoing Attribute Mapping to define what is the field on the Contact inside Hubspot that corresponds to the attribute on the User inside Hull. First, click on the Edit the mapping button:

A modal with the list of attributes from Hull will appear. Select the attributes one by one. You can also select all the attributes coming from one connector by clicking on the checkbox next to the name of the connector.

Once you have clicked the Confirm button, the list of attributes will autopopulate inside the attribute mapper as follows:

Finally, select the corresponding Hubspot fields that you want to match with these attributes using the Hubspot dropdown on the right.

⚠️ Warning ⚠️:

  • By default, the attributes from Hull will overwrite the field inside Hubspot. Thus, if a field inside Hubspot is changed, it will be soon overwritten by the attribute coming from Hull.
  • You can also propagate the linking between users and accounts in Hull to the linking between contacts and companies inside Hubspot by activating the toggle button as shown below. Note that the company that you want to match with the account the user is linked with, needs to already exist inside Hubspot.

How to send Companies to Hubspot

Selecting Accounts to send out as Companies

First, go to the Accounts - Sending to Hubspotsection.

Start by defining the segments of accounts you want to send out from Hull to Hubspot. Inside the Account filter dropdown, select those Acccount segments.

Finally, select the corresponding Hubspot fields that you want to match with these attributes using the Hubspot dropdown on the right.

How to ignore deleted Contacts and Companies in Hubspot

Whenever you delete Contacts & Companies in Hubspot, if these Contacts & Companies are inside Hull and belongs to the whitelist segments to sync out to Hubspot, they will be synched back to Hubspot.

To prevent that behaviour, you can choose to automatically delete the Users & Accounts corresponding to the Contacts & Companies you deleted inside Hubspot.
